Tonino Lamborghini, the Italian luxury brand, has entered the Indian market with a range of multi-media accessories to cash in on the digital and cyber boom in India.Lamborghini is one of the leading luxury car manufacturers, based in Italy. The company has been named after its founder Ferruccio Lamborghini, who established it in 1963.

The super cars manufactured by the company are known worldwide, for their powerful engine, captivating looks, mind blowing top speed and luxurious interiors. Lamborghini entered Indian automotive business in 2006, with the launch of its sports cars. The company caters to the super-rich consumers of India, who love to flaunt million-dollar cars. Gallardo (coupe), Gallardo Spyder (convertible), Superleggera (coupe) and Murcielago (both coupe and convertible) are the cars launched by Lamborghini in the country.

The Indian market has seen a flurry of cars priced over Rs 1 crore (Rs 10 million) hitting the roads with the entry of cars like the Maybach, Bentley Arnage and Rolls Royce Phantom, to name a few.

With its debut in India, Lamborghini will make available three of its latest international models — the compact two-seater sports-cum-luxury Gallardo, the convertible ‘Gallardo Spyder’ and the Murcielago, which is a 2-seater, 2-door coupe (with gull-wing doors).

While the Gallardo will sport a price tag of Rs 1.65 crore (Rs 16.5 million), the Gallardo Spyder will cost a cool Rs 1.85 crore (Rs 18.5 million).

However, Murcielago would be the hottest wheel, carrying a hefty Rs 3 crore (Rs 30 million) tag.

Apart from this with an explosion in the sale of computers, laptops, i-phones, BlackBerry and satellite phones, and i-pods in India, the company will sell its signature “computer backpacks, i-phone, BlackBerry, notebook and camera cases at the mega lifestyle retail stores in the country,” a senior company official, in charge of marketing and the distribution, said.

The accessories are mostly made of nylon and leather.

Distribution company MCC Group which is bringing the brand into the country, said the initial focus is mainly on the multimedia accessories segment.

To make the products buyer friendly, the company has kept the prices competitive and affordable
“The price brand is reasonable – from Rs 1,500 to Rs 7,000”
